Grinstead Lodge is surrounded by many beautiful places of historic interest and gardens and it is
our belief that East Grinstead is in the heart of some of the most beautiful countryside in the South-East of England. Nearby you will find places like the Ashdown Forest, ideal for picnics and woodland views, and not forgetting the chance to play Pooh sticks at the bridge where A.A Milne and Christopher Robin are believed to have played too!
Other tourist attractions include: the
Llama Park, Wildfowl sanctuary, the Bluebell railway, Hever Castle, Standen Hall, Pooh Corner, Lingfield Park Racecourse, Tulleys farm and golf courses to name but a few.
Grinstead Lodge is less than an hour’s drive away from Brighton beach with its traditional pier and young and friendly atmosphere but still retaining some of its ‘old world’ charm with the lanes etc. Indeed East Grinstead as a base is ideal for everyone! We are also on a direct train and road route to London and the M25. The train station is less than a mile’s walk from the guest house.
